barrel recommendations

In the near future I want to barrel a Savage to .25-06.

I noticed that Shilen only has 1:9, 1:10, 1:12, and 1:14.

I'd like to have this rifle as a long range deer/varmint rifle.

I know some of you deal with sharp shooter supply...... who else do you deal with? And can I get a faster twist than 9?

Or what twist do you recommend? Will a 10 do both? I have a 10 in a .243 and am disappointed and in the past was disappointed with a 12.
