Now that's decent for factory ammo. Nicely done.
I recall when the Savage Rep visited our local range to torment us with new shootin' irons, he had a lot of Fusion ammo with him. Must be what they like. It did real well with the 300 win mag BA110 I got to try out.
Just think of how much tighter when you start reloading....
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
Thanks. I've tried just about every factory load, and the gun loves this one. We'll see how it does at 200 next weekend.
I normally reload but ran out of time before hunting season last year. Bought some 150gr Fusion for my .270. Its all I could find. Shot so well I bought some for my 7mm-06 and my Rem 742 30-06 that has been passed down the family. The '06 shot 1-1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. Cant beat that for a 53 year old automatic with a El Paso Weaver K4. Did great on deer with the .270.
Unless I'm mistaken I believe Savage uses Federal as their testing ammunition. I think if that's true there must be a reason.
150 fusion is my favorite 30-06 round, not the most expensive but I get good groups from it as well. It's a great hunting round!
At less than $20.00 a box, this ammo shoots better than the factory ammo twice it's cost.
