30" barreled 308 target rifle and 22lr MK II.

I have a 20X scope for my 308 that has a large max internal adjustment.

Thought I would pick up a 8-32X Mueller target scope for my 22LR but it only has 40 MOA of max internal adjustment.

Was also thinking I might want to occasionally swap it out on my 308 but then again there is the 40 MOA limit.

For 22LR zero at 50yds = need about 11.4 MOA of scope elevation and with a 20 moa scope base and that should leave me about 28 MOA for adjustment. According to JBM I would need to dial up 26 MOA to get to 200 yards. so I think it would barely work.

Will be shooting 22LR wolf target match at 1050.

250 yards would NOT work.

For 308 zero at 200 = about 6.2 moa of scope elevation and with a 20 MOA scope base that should leave me about 33-34 MOA for adjustment. According to JBM I would need to dial between 30-31 MOA to get to 1000 yards. so I think it would barely work.
