I actually just ordered another CBI (for a buddy) from Jim today. As always he was a pleasure to deal with. Wished I could've gotten myslef one also, but already too many irons in the fire.

I can only speak to the "quality" of the ER Shaw barrel. My 260 Rem shoots 1/2 MOA out to 300yrds, about as good as I can shoot on a regular basis. I ordered it from them made to my specifications and it took 4 months. I guess it could take longer now because of the "crunch", you would have to check with them. I'm going to get a 7BR barrel in the near future from them. Good Luck :)...Jim
Good Afternoon,
I finally got a chance to try out that Shilen Select Match 308 Barrel at 300 yards. I loaded up some Berger 185's with Varget from 38 grains to 42.5 grains in .5 grain intervals. Only three of the (3 shot) groups were over 1". The best 3 were .711", .785", and .870". Needless to say I'm very happy with the barrel. These groups were shot off of a bipob with a rear bag on a bench.
Thursday I'm planning on trying it out to 600 yards. If it preforms well at 600, I'll be trying it at 800, 900, and 1000 yards. I've purchased a couple of the CBI Bull barrels in 6BR, 260, and 6.5x284 from Jim that shoot extremely well, but so far none of them can shoot with the new Shilen.
