Savage 111 LRH .338 Lapua Problem

I recently purchased a 111 LRH in .338 Lapua Mag. The only rounds the gun shop had for it were HSM in 300 gr. Every single round would get stuck in the chamber and not eject. Have any of you guys had the same problem? I believe it's the ammo expanding to much and causeing the sticking. Thanks for the Input.

Sounds like a rough chamber. You can polish the chamber and see if that helps.

A lot of us have had the same problem. Switch to Lapua brass and the problem goes away.

What about Noser brass, anyone had problems with them? I have a bunch coming in for reloading.

Sounds like savage needs a new reamer, or learn how to set head space! This is a common, common issue with their rifles chambered in 338lm. Different brass won't always fix it. It didn't fix mine. It has been determined by many that the head space was way too tight. Re-setting the head space has been the successful solution for several people.
