    Scope base for 111 Long range hunter


    Hi there,

    I have a 111 Long Range Hunter in 7mm Rem Mag coming, need to buy a scope base for it. I suppose it is a long action, not those target action in 12 series. Thus I can buy a scope base with a recoil lug, such as this one

    Yes, it is a LA. The EWG base is another popular choice.

    Thanks for confirming it. I have used EGW on short action, don't recall they have recoil lugs though. Is the lug necessary for a 7mm?
