    Painting a predator ??

I finally found the scope I'm gonna keep on my model 10 predator in 223. Of course the scope is matte black. This got me thinking why not paint the rifle flat black to match the scope. I'm even thinking the metal(receiver and barrel) wouldn't look bad olive-drab and the stock matte black. Has anyone done this and what kind of paint did you use? My biggest question is if regular paints would stick to the camo covering put on from the factory? Any advice on paint and prep work would be appreciated. Dave

Hardest part about painting a predator is getting them to hold still long enough for the paint to dry!

When I typed the topic I knew someone would have to make a funny comment. ;D Thanks for the link Blue Avenger, good info. As for having the scope dipped to match. Well right now I am unemployed and I imagine having a scope dipped to match will be out of my budget. Plus I'm not fond of the camo on the gun. I believe if I paint it it'll look better. I got the predator model for its size not its camoflage. Dave
