Savage called me back and said it must have been there mistake during production. The washer does not go anywhere in the rifle.
I just purchased my rifle and removed the stock to adjust the accutrigger and a little 1/4 inch washer fell out during disassembly. I cannot figure out where this washer goes for the life of me. I contacted Savage and they said it just sits between the center post and the stock. However, when assembled this way the action does not sit correctly in the stock it has a high spot in the center stud area. Has anyone else had this issue or have any insight where this washer needs to go if anywhere?
Thanks,
Jay

the washer goes on top of the center stud with the goofy side down so it centers itself on the stud , just push it down on tight and reassemble the stock to the action. tighten to a starting torque of 25 inch pounds each of the 3 screws. MARK25-06
Actually.....I think it goes on the exhaust manifold of a '63 Chevy 283 Impala 4 door. Yeah.....that's it.
Front bolt or rear?
center, in front of the trigger. there should be a small indentation in your stock from it. just push it down on and it will stay. MARK25-06
