A little sandpaper and a round dowel rod and you can open up the barrel channel. The sides might get a little thin on the forearm depending on how much you have to take out to make it fit. Take it slow so you dont take out too much.
I have been trying to buy a used .204 barrel for months to put on my Stevens 200 (currently .223). Finally found one and it came in the mail today! I have a Boyds sporter thumbhole right now. Anyone know if i will be able to sand out the barrel channel to fit a heavy barrel? I'll post some pics when i figure out how haha

Thanks that's kind of what I was thinking. I'm a little worried about the thickness of wood on the sides but we'll see how it goes
