Looks awesome!!
Same as my build except I have a cheap Simmons, SSS trigger, and Weaver rings. Thought I'd never see anyone else build a .30-06! Mine shoots under 1/4 MOA with the standard match Shillen. I'd be interested to know if the select match helps.
Our match rifles - the black and silver is my son's .223 in a Boyd's Tacticool and the green and gray is my .308 in a modified Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist. Both stocks had my DIY raised cheek piece mod.
Nice rifles and awesome photography Ranger! DIY-cheek piece looks better than some factory jobs. I'm interested in your methods?
Im shooting factory ammo now (HSM Trophy Gold 210 Berger VLD) until I can start load development. But im already shooting 1/4 MOA at 200. Will be moving out to 500 next thursday. We'll see how she does. I have the upmost confidence in it. Its more me that im worried about lol
Cool. Mine likes 178 grain Hornady Amax bullets with CCI 200 primers, 57.5 grains of IMR4350, and Lapua brass. I can't recall the seating depth. I don't have alot of components to play with right now and called it quits when I got to 0.235 MOA. I typically load 57 grains instead of 57.5 grains of poweder for hunting/plinking.
Ignore the tranny tear down table in the background, but here is my 11VT in .308, I modded the factory stock to hit my hand and face better with a palm swell and raised the cheek rest some

and here is how it shoots @ 110 yards with the cheap winchester 150gr power points (its favorite factory load that I've tried so far) each block is 1" except the center ones which are 1/4". I shot the 3 shot group , moved my scope down, shot again, moved it over, shot again, called it good.

That looks cool, Plow.
BTW, your work area looks like mine!
And my office isn't usually any better. :)
Thank ya Foxx, it definitely fits me better, and I can finally get a decent cheeck weld. And hey, it may be a mess, but it's my mess, I know where everything is haha. (At least, that's what I tell the wife)
Just messing around with some filters and I liked how this one looked. 11VT in 308 that I had cut to 18" and an AR I put together around the DPMS MK12 barrel (5.56).
Very nice
Thanks, The one in the back is my newest savage build I'll get better pics of it soon.
Here is mine. Not exactly a full custom. Savage 111 300 win mag. Benchmark barrel muzzle brakes and more brake. Nightforce 20 moa base. Killer innovation rings. Weaver 4-20x50 superslam 30mm tube and vortex level. Just got it back from benchmark a few weeks ago 200 yd group
Looks great
Outstanding, what cal.
.308, thanks
Model 12 LRP 6.5 creedmore with vortex HST 6-25 x 50
Thanks. RBLP allows you to work the bolt and trigger with your right hand, and load and catch empties with your left. Also allows you to see into the action without getting up or disturbing the rifle. And just because it's different. I haven't got to shoot it much yet so I still can't say if I would buy another in that configuration, but so far it's good.
How do you get an action with the port on the left and bolt on the right? Is this custom, or a factory option. I am very much turned on by this.
