    Center Feed Magazine......I give up.

How do you remove one of these devilish devices from the stock without destroying it?

That is the poorest design on the rifle. I got mine out with gentle prying, with a screw driver, on the long side of the barrel end on my 12 VLP.

I agree that the retaining method for the center feed magazine is an example of very poor design. How it ever got into production is amazing.

I'd like to attach mine to the action if it were feasible.

jam a medium size screwdriver beside the end of the mag. It will pop out eventually.

    UJ,
Slide a thin screwdriver under the "L" tab at the rear of the magbox, so it pushes up with a little bit of tension(but not enough to bend the tab). Now leave that screwdriver there and take another one and slide down between the stock and the front end of the magbox, then gently pry it out some. I found doing this step in small bites works best. You can also twist the screwdriver under the tab at the same time so it raises the whole box at once. Once you get the magbox raised up so far it will eventually spring out of there. Mine actually went flying up in the air, so be careful of the eyes.

I used a big flat bladed screwdriver at the retaining tab, and grabbed the front of the mag with a pair of needle nose pliers. You pull up on the front of the mag at the same time prying up the retaining tab. Smooth and simple, and it just slides straight up and out.

I use a plier at the front of the mag and gently pull up, a little patience and finesse and it comes out without flying around.

I have no problem with the magazine on my 10 series. You folks *are* aware that it needs to go "in" back-to-front only, right?
