    Model 111 want stay cocked

I just bought my first Savage today. When I took the rifle out of the box and installed the bolt the it wouldn't stay cocked. I know that it's the accua trigger probably needs adjusting or cleaned. My question is with it being a completely new rifle should I take it back to Cabelas or try fixing it myself.

I realize that this has been covered many times before because I have read the posts over the years but For now I can't find the answer to the problem.

    Thanks and Regards, Keith

Keith. Increase the trigger weight with the accutrigger adjustment tool and your problem ~should~ go away.
If it does not, you may want to return to the store and let them deal with it.
Next time, if they will let you, try to make sure it functions at the store.

I bought the rifle at the Lehi Utah store and I am still in Salt Lake City. Before returning to Wyoming I will stop back by Cabelas and let them check it. At the store they had the bolt tied down with one of those BIG tye wraps and I just never thought to check how it functioned after the plactic was removed. Many thanks.
