    One thing that would help us answer your question is, 1st - what caliber , what model , round or flat back action ?

    Not sure what you mean by "back action". Sorry for the ignorance.

    If the top of the receiver to the rear of the ejection port is rounded, it is commonly called a "round back" action.
    Conversely, if the top of the receiver to the rear of the ejection port is flat, not rounded, it is commonly called a "flat back" action.
