Measure the bolt spacing is easy. Also, open the bolt and look into the magazine. Center feed mags have a very narrow(narrower than the cartridge) opening. Stagger feed mag openings are wider than the cartridge.
Hey Guys, I just saw several Stevens at a local chain store on sale. They won't let me take tham out of the stock. Is there an easy way to check to see if they are center feed still in the stocks?
Thanks Ted

The Action screw spacing GG is talking about is 4.4 for centerfeed and about an 1/8 shorter for the stagger fed action
Open the action and look at the feed lips....

Thanks Guys, I'm heading back afterwork tomorrow if I'm allowed to spend and money!!!
