This trigger has been around a while. Savage is constantly trying to figure out how to make them cheaper. Savage eliminated some machining steps with the two screw trigger. They can be polished into a nice trigger.
Just adjusted the trigger on a savage 110. Savage marked bolt and barrel. It didn't have the sear adjustment set screw... has savage been shipping the 2 screw trigger in other rifles besides the Stevens for long?

Thought they were MIM, and therefore a bad idea to stone/polish the mating surface due to exposure of the softer metal underneath?
The guys whose trigger I adjusted has a very good friend that is a machinist.. so I think he's gonna have that sear engagment screw put in.
The 2-screws from back in the day weren't MIM, just the Crap-U-trigger parts are MIM.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
