that would be a great slug gun scope
I'm wondering what everyone is using for optics on their 212 and 220 slug guns. I am contemplating a 220 purchase and have a 3 x 9 nikon buckmaster on the shelf. Would it work?

I put a 3.8-12 Intensity(weaver ) on mine for the season because it was on the shelf. I will be looking for a 2-7 after the holidays.
Your Nikon should be good to go.

2-7x33 Leupold vx2, bright, compact and sits nice and low. The 3-9 should work well for you. I started off with a 3-9x diamondback I had sitting around.

Myself and 3 buddies all use the Nikon Slughunter 3-9x40. Great scope with lots of eye relief. One of those buddies actually dropped his out of a blind recently (took a couple hard knocks from about 15 ft.) and the thing held zero.
