Hi Folks.

I recently inherited my grandpa's old 300 Savage Lever, Model 99. the barrel says its a CD series, however if I do some digging on that series, the stock is with a Monte Carlo Cheek cut out. Also, it says that the CD series first came out in 1975-81 and I can tell you that this gun has been in our family at least since 1950. So my guess is gramps popped on a newer CD barrel at some point. Based on pictures on the net, it looks like a G or an EG. Here is a link to an add posted for it up here in Canada.

Can anyone confirm based on the pics what this series of Model 99 is? Would the serial number help you folks determine that? Also, what would I expect on average for this guy to sell for knowing that it is in pretty **** good shape for having to be 75 years old or so!!!?

Git R Done!
