    Clay Removal

What do you use to remove all of the little bits of clay from all of the nooks and crannies after you bed the action? I'm basically lazy and want to use an aerosol product instead of a toothpick or exacto knife. I've tried carb cleaner and brake cleaner and neither seems to dissolve this stuff. I know that real, honest clay should be water soluble, but I don't like the thought of a water bath for a firearm--besides, it doesn't come in aerosol. The clay that I have is a bunch of different colored sticks for children's modeling projects. Thanks, Steve

WD40 and a fairly stiff toothbrush (not the one the wife uses!)

Hot soapy water and a toothbrush will never hurt your gun.

A very light application of oil under the clay works wonders on removal.
