Convert fixed to detachable box mag?

I have a Savage 10 .308 top loader. I bought the gun around 2000? What would it take to convert it to a detachable mag rifle?

    Any examples? Pics?

Are you looking for one of the more tactical high capacity setups or the stock type hunting setup?

Things you need to know(in no particular order):

    1. What is the bolt spacing between the two action screws. 4.25"' ( stagger feed) or 4.4"' (center feed)

    2. Stock style, manufacturer and model... that is made with a DBM option and fits your action bolt spacing. (If your using your factory stock then you will need to inlet it yourself or have someone else do it.)

    3. The brand of DBM and bottom metal you will be using.

    4. Your budget.

I also want to add another thing to consider.
    5. The barrel diameter. It is aesthetically appealing if thechannel matches the barrel.
A small diameter or sporter barrel looks odd in a stockdesigned for a bull barrel. If you have a heavy barrel and buy a stock with asmall channel you need to understand how to enlarge the channel if necessary.

I apologize if I got too basic but those were the things that I would consider and saw no mention of that in you post.
