I shoot a 338 LM but I have never used a bullet that light. The only thing I have used is the Hornady 285 gr. BTHP Match and the Sierra 300g. BTHP Match King. I use Retumbo and I am hoping to try out the newer RL-33 in the near future. I am sure someone here has a pet 250 gr. load.

+1 on Retumbo! I shoot 300 grain bullets .050 off the lands with Retumbo!

A person here told me Retumbo would be my best friend, I tried it, and he was right! For some reason, my 338 likes to be off the lands.

Use recommended powder loads from the book and work from there!

I have shot 250 Accu Bonds and they would make a great hunting round, but I never got my groups as tight as I got the 300's.

I'm running 250grn sierra match kings on top of 90 grn of retumbo and a CCI 250 Mag primer out of my 110 fcp-hs, it shoots sub MOA out of my rifle. My chronograph died on me this weekend otherwise I would have more load data for ya.

I have a 110 fcphs, I got the best velocity deviation with RX25. That being said I just had my barrel replaced with a Krieger 28 inch whip stick.. I could never get it to group worth a **** with the stock barrel.
