You install a left hand .308 Bolt head and screw on a large shank .308 barrel.
It is a specific left hand bolt head. The ejector would be in the wrong place if you installed a right hand one backwards.
I found a 12 lrpv in 223 for 800.00
I need to know if i can change it to 308
with just a bolt head & barrel?
if so
does it have to be a special bolt head
to eject on left side ?
or do you just install it reversed
and is this a large or small shank rifle ?
and would it be hard to get used to a left port rifle ?
Ive allways had right port rifles
thanks for any responces

Yes, it can be changed to a a 308 with a left handed .473 bolt head. (Easy to find.)
Yes it is a large shank.
It is not hard to get use a left port at all, once you try one you will say, "Dang! How did I ever shoot a right port action?" Now, once you shot a dual port you will say, "Dang! How did I ever shoot anything else?"
thanks guys
