    SD west river deer

Well I picked up a newly re-barreled 260 the Wednesday before deer season. Built some loads and sighted it in on Thursday and left for hunting at midnight Thursday. With sun up on Friday morning I spotted a good but and with the 36th round out of the tube filled my tag with my best deer to date.

My old man filled that night.

Good shooting... I'd take either of them as I have never hunted in mule deer country!

Best part is the father son connection. Looks like you guys had a great hunt

I never had that with my dad but I did with my oldest son. I hope my yongest shows the same interest and I live long enough to see a day like that with him.

Nice bucks, that one of your dads looks like it might be a cross breed, those antlers are very whitetail looking, we get some of those along the river bottoms here in Colorado.

Congrats on 2 very nice deer. I was stationed at Ellsworth 92-95, never made it hunting west of the river ( didn't draw). Saw some nice deer traveling through that part of the state. I had to settle for Hills whitetail.

Again, Congrats to you and your dad!
