Looks like it has a lot of potential!

    Re: Numrich 270 heavy sporter

After I got home and went to clean the rifle I realized that one of the action screws was loose. This week I'm gonna install pillars and bed the action. Hopefully next weekend I can get some more results. Happy so far though.

Okay but Savage factory barrels right? I've seen ER Shaw barrels on Numrich before so I was wondering if they are factory.

Pretty sure Savage makes their own barrels.

Yep they do. I own 9 of them.
What I'm trying to find out is if the one he bought from Numrich is one of the Savage Factory barrels that they sell or another aftermarket brand barrel as I have seen both for sale on Numrich.

Sorry, maybe we aren't understanding your question.

A "factory barrel" would come from Savage, be made by them at their factory.

A barrel made by Numrich would not be made by Savage, so would not be a "factory" barrel.

Not trying to be obtuse, is there a cooperation between Savage and Numrich?

Numrich sells both new and used factory parts as well as aftermarket parts.
What I'm wondering is if the barrel is made by Savage or another manufacturer if it is marked.

They aren't marked and I'm pretty sure they're made by savage.

    Re: Numrich 270 heavy sporter

yea, they are being sold as factory "Savage". There has been some discussion on here before that they were possibly 2nds that were re-chambered and sold to Numrich, but I have no idea if that is true. I have only seen a couple of people on here that have them, and they all seem to shoot pretty well. Here's a couple of pics of my same barrel with one of the good loads I've come up with at 100 and 300yds:

Good shooting! I didn't realize that Savage ever made a heavy contour 270- interesting stuff.
