What do you do about this hole/slit when bedding?

I know this is a dumb question, BUT what do you do about this tiny hole/slit against the recoil lug?
I did not remember seeing it in the bedding articles, and it looks big enough for material to flow into.

I put a little bit of play doh around it before applying my release agent.

I drip in hot candle wax & then trim smooth after it sets up.
