    Scope rings

    Hello all,

Ok I have decided on my new scope now it is time to order rings. I am going with a Nikon Pro staff 3-9x50mm. My question is do I need short medium or tall? I figure at least medium. I am looking at the deadnutz one piece system. has anyone had any experience with them? Does anyone have recommendations for rings and bases? The gun is a savage 111 fcxp3 in .300 win mag. Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I happen to like Burris Signature rings myself, I have had good luck with them and they make up for all but the most severe alignment problems.

It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!

Take a look at Talley. They are aluminum but, the base and bottom half of the ring is one piece. Light weight and seriously strong. Got them on all my Savage/Stevens including my 300 WM and will be on the 338 WM I'm building.

I really like the 2 piece burris base and rings for savage rifles. The windage adjustment is handy if your action is tweaked a bit and the offset front ring is an option for the short tube scopes that are so common now.
