Mine likes the 100 gr coreloks. Good enough for lollipops at 100.

I just bought a Striker 516 in .243, that should arrive from seller in a few days. I am not a re-loader, and I'm wondering if any of you more experienced Striker owners have any suggestions of factory loads for deer that shoot well in this gun. I own another .243 (Browning Pre-81 BLR), and I've been using Remington Core-lokt 100Gr, and like the results in hunting and accuracy. But I realize the Striker will be different. If you have found an accurate factory load in an 80 to 100 grain deer cartridge, I'm thinking it might be best to start with that and see how it groups. I really am looking forward to owning, shotting, and hunting with this gun! Thanks in advance for any advice and help you can give me.

Is that little lollipops, or big ones? :-)
Any lollipop at 100 yards = dead deer. I'll definitely try those first. Would be easier to use same ammo as my rifle. Thanks for the reply!
The little ones, and my scope was off a little to the right. Should I mention the steel 8" X 8" plate at 400 yards.
Dead lollipops = dead deer, good analogy.

My factory Striker barrel shot everything from 55-100grains very, very good. The Factory varmint barrel I just had cut down to 17" shoots everything even better.
That all sounds great. I'm anxious to put a few down range when I get it in my hands, which should be Monday.
I'll post some results. Tinkerer -- that plate at 400 yds sound like all one could ask for!
A Happy and Blessed Easter to all.
