I got one for Christmas. It shoots great. 5 shots from 50yards fit under a nickle the first time out.

Gonna have a load up on those recipes that you kind folk have sent me!

One question though, any particular brand of brass or will some decent once fired stuff work?

What height are those warne maximas? Is that a 50mm idjective? Fixing to mount a 40 mm elite on my new extreme bases and I ordered med height maximas.

    Mine is a 12FV, 26" barrel.

My two best loads in this rifle shooting the Hornady 60gr V-Max are.

Hornady brass, wgt. sorted to 1.5gr, primer pocket uniformed, deburr flash hole, FLS 1st time then NS.

    Varget 24.5gr, 2901 fps, SD=3, ES=6. I get avg. .53" groups @ 100 yds., 10 rounds on bench from a bi-pod

    BLC2 26.5gr, 3182 fps, SD=16, ES=38. I get avg. .25" groups @ 100 yds., 10 rounds on bench from a bi-pod :)

The camo on that rifle is exactly the same as the used '06 I just got. It looks great! I meant yours, not mine.
How do you like the picatinny on top? I'm considering going that way on a few of mine since I swap scopes on a regular basis.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!

Love the EGW Bases... I have had a couple of others and they have proved to be solid and accurate. This one is the 0 MOA. The Warne QR Rings get back on Zero every time so far. I take the Scope off to travel and have done so on other rifles and they have been bang on every time so far.

I find that Ballc-2 is a very underappreciated powder as is IMR3031

Ok, Just barely had time to throw some rounds through it at 50Yd to get it on paper.

The 3 shots in a row are the final group after switching to American Eagle 50Gr Hollow points.

I used the Barnaul cheap ammo to get it on then cracked out 3 shots to check a group. Whilst not impressive, its pretty good for my first shot with this after only shooting Rimfire for a few years.

It was a big shock when there was actually some recoil!
