weaver #14 and #19 blocks for 99's will allow you to mount any type of weaver cross-bar rings you want.
I bought a savage 99EG in 300 savage, it was drilled and tapped by someone along the line and came with a set of ring/mounts on it, the type with the see thru's for the iron sights and i dont like them, i want to get a regular set of mounts so i can just mount a scope on closer to the barrel, either ring/mounts or just plain mounts and rings seperate. The screw spacing on the front and the rear is 1/2" apart...anyone have any recommendations?

The #14 and #19 are both 1/2" spacing? Why two different, to fit the contours of the rcvr?
heigth
.223 Rem AI, .22-250 AI, .220 Swift AI .243 Win AI, .6mm Rem AI, .257 Rob AI, .25-06 AI, 6.5x300wsm .30-06 AI, .270 STW, 7mm STW, 28 nosler, .416 Taylor
so they are different heights to account for the sloping rcvr, and they should match the contours of the rcvr ok?
They fit and do a good job for just a couple bucks each.
Clean the screws and holes w/ degreaser and use fingernail polish. No locktire needed.
Go to ebay and get a nice old Weaver scope. Just dont bid against me.
If you find someone to lighten the triggers PM me.
