    4.40" to 4.522" stock modification

Has anyone successfully converted an aftermarket stock for a SA centerfeed (4.40") to accept a 1st gen short action (4.522")? Specifically a B&C Tactical A2. I know the recoil lug is going to move forward but those stocks have a large lug area to begin with.

It can be done but you'll have to bed the action to fill in all the excess open area rear of the lug.

I just saw a stock for sale that was a Medalist SA stock that was converted to fit a long action. Thats a full 1/2inch longer so if that can be done yours should be no problem.
