You may want to do a chamber cast. Did you get any brass with it? I'm guessing no?

You definitely want to verify the chambering.
Wouldn't want to make a mistake and blow a rifle up.......or yourself for that matter!
If the barrel is 25 caliber and the case is truly a 264/7mag, then you have essentially a 257 Weatherby without the funny round shoulders..... My bet it IS chambered in 257 Weatherby=Casting the chamber would be a very good idea!!
what do u use to make the casting ?? ive not cast a chamber before
A product called Cerrosafe, it's a low temp alloy that is dimensionally stable. A Mauser chamber can be a little tricky to cast but since the stuff melts at under 200 degrees you can melt it out with a heat gun if you get some where it doesn't belong. I know that Brownells and Midway both carry Cerrosafe.Originally Posted by wilpenny

thanks for the input bob ill order the stuff and put this to rest after i can verifi the case then i can finish the rest of the rifle it looks like it was never bedded the stock looks like it was inletted for a bedding job that never was done who ever did the metal work and wood work was very good just that it needs to be finished ty Wilpenny
Cerrosafe melts at 158 degrees
for load data you should be able to use the low side
loads for the 264 mag and work up.
