the nut shell on them is the eye relief is fussy when turned up. you will either learn to work with it or sell it. I have three of them. the only way to get more power is muzzle brake and rifle scopes.
Anyone useing a Burris 3x12x32 on Striker or other handgun? If so what do you think of it? Was thinking about one for my 308 Striker will be shooting full power and subsonic with a suppressor from 25-600 yards.

Ditto. If you can work with the eye relief, especially on 12x, then you will enjoy it. I have had them on everything from .223 Rem to 6.5-284 handguns. My recent one was put on a .243 pistol built off on a undesignated Target Action. Think the next one will be on a WSM or RUM case round. Yeah, Neal is rubbing off on me.
More shooting, less typing.
Thanks for the info. By fussy eye relief do you mean the sight picture is hard to get or fussy when you get it? What kind of eye relief are you able to use trying to get away with out having to have 20" relief.
Bob
You won't have to worry about 20" of eye relief on any power above 6x. It skrinks real quick and is around 9"-10" at 12x. When at 10-12x the "eye box" is very small. You have to be lined up perfectly. The glass is good, just no room for error when you aare trying to look through it.
More shooting, less typing.
Think I'll give it a try thanks for the help. Would go with the 2-6 but think the AO on the 3-12 will be helpful at different ranges guess if it's too bad I just won't turn it up past 6 or so. Do you think the illuminated retical is worth the difference in price?
Bob
have some lighted scopes, never turn them on during day light.

I have a number of Burris 3-12 and for the money will not have anything but.
I carry mine 100% of the time on 4-5 power while hunting as its easy to acquire the game. I only use the upper magnifications for group shooting from a bench. I acquire the bull at low power, hold then dial it up,remembering to get my eye closer.
Clarity is great. The only thing wanting with this scope is I have a couple old scopes with the target dots. They won't install that reticle any more.
Jamie: I am not contagious! I am 3000 miles from your home base and you are what 3-5000 miles from home?
Neal
Once again thanks for the info. Jamie is right I never though about Strikers untill talking with you and seeing your vidios. The 308 will make a good dog and deer killer we can't hunt anything but varmits with 308 rifles here but pistols are good to go.
