Ruined, or just blackened?
Only personally shot a half dozen boxes in various calibers. They have all been WELL below stated velocities. Sounds like they have a problem with their "load". You should call them with the lot # and tell them about it.
Has anyone had a problem with the primers in these? I had 6 primers blow out and about 8 more that have burnt powder around the primer but the primer is still in the brass. I now have a ruined bolt because of it. >

I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
Some of them blackened around the primer, some the primer was completely blown out. I've shot over 1000 rounds of 168 gr A-Max and not a peep of trouble. I tried a box of the 178 gr Match rounds and the accuracy was much improved so I decided to nmake the switch and by the 3rd box...blammo. I have contacted Hornady about it and they have my bolt, spent rounds and an unfired box with the same lot number. I just wondered if anyone else had an issue like this.
