    Savage 93 22WMR Extraction Probelms

I was sighting in my 22 mag and had to extract each spent case by hand. After a few rounds it appears the spent rounds are hitting on the next round in the magazine.
    Anybody else experience this?
    What was the fix?

Is the gun new? Bad extractor .. if so call Savage. Or could it be dirty from old oil and shells sticking ?

I'd check the extractor and clean the chamber.

If it's hitting rounds in the magazine, you may want to check the magazine also, maybe the lip need to be bent down a little so the cartridges are not so high. What the others said is good info if it's not a mag problem. The extractors can be removed and lightly de burred so they don't stick, then just give the sping band a sligh squeeze to tighten it, just slight, don't bend it.
