New Member with stock question

I would like to put a Target Action (RBLP single shot) and a Shilen large shank bull barrel in a Bell & Carlson Medalist tactical stock #2997.
Their literature says it has the 4.40 action screw spacing so it should fit.

I need a source to machine out the barrel channel for the bull barrel (1 inch no taper).
Who can neatly do this for me?

You can do it yourself. Just go to the hardware store and get a 1ft long pc of 1" dowel rod and some sheets of sandpaper. Just keep sanding the channel(the dowel rod lets you sand evenly) till you get it how you want it, then smooth with fine sandpaper. Then just put a couple coats of clear on it to darken it up like the rest of the stock. It really isnt hard to do at all.

Keep in mind you wont be able to use the middle action screw of the target action, but it's no big deal.

I have a friend that is doing the same thing.

Done the same thing but used a deep well socket instead ofa dowel rod. Worked for me.

If you want to speed things up, a 1" sanding drum in a drill bit extension and a cordless drill works great.
