    Savage"Hoghunter"?

Anyone have one of these? What do you think? Am thinking of doing a build like it. How hard is it to get iron sights put on a barrel?
    Thanks for any replies.

Just a thought but a red dot would work well. One that is a battery mizer.....

As much as I like Savage bolt actions, if I really was to hunt hogs I would use a Marlin 336 or Winchester 94 with a red dot or open sights. If the Marlin it would be in .35 Rem or .444 marlin or maybe a .45-70. Some hogs up here in NH can get to over 500 lbs. Russian or Russian cross breeds. Nothing to mess with. An 11 yr old girl over in Maine got one last year that went over 500 lbs. Gutsy kid.

I think it will make a handy all around hunter, out to 400, and good for targets to 6-700. A 2-10 optic I think would be nice.
