    Savage and Savage type actions

I've looked at two different rifles that "appear" to mechanically identical or at least very similar.
One is a Stevens 200 and the other was a detachable magazine Mossberg. Are these rifles functionally the same as the Savages when it comes to buying barels and accessories for them?
    Thanks

Woops...should have read the FAQ on the Stevens... :-[
Question still goes for the Mossberg rifle. The barrel nut is smooth on this one...

Take a look at the new Marlin XL7's.

You'll see more that a few similarities there too. The barrels are even compatible.

I hope Marlin offers some magnum calibers and maybe even some heavy barrel versions soon. Not to take away anything from the Savage, but I like the Marlin as well.

    I agree.

I'm hoping for some left hand options as well.
