Why?
I just bought an old 112 BVSS 22-250 and it is very nice but I want to chamber it in 338 RUM. Its a single shot and Im going to keep it that way for ease, plus I like the stock.
Besides the small shank barrel can someone please outline everything I need in parts to accomplish this?
I mainly need to know what all I need to change out the bolt face
Im going to get a 30" Mcgowen 338rum barrel
Why?
Just get the standard magnum bolt face for a short action.
You will need to match up the firing diameter and length to the bolt head.
I have shortened long action magnum bolt heads with no problems when I could not find a short action bolt head that would work.
if is an old 110, it should be a long action with a short mag lengthOriginally Posted by Too many Savages, is that possible?

BlueAvenger is correct. You need a long action bolt head.
This is a long action single shot.
And to answer the question of why...because I want to
Good answer!
