    111 dmb

Can I change a blind mag to a detachable mag on a 111 243 long action staggerfeed? If so what so I need? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks mike

The short answer is yes, but! The but, comes because you not only have to have the correct parts, but mill out the stock to fit them. I have an old detachable mag rifle and have gone both ways with it, but it started as a detachable. Mine has a push button on the side of the stock to release the magazine. The inletting in the stock would be pretty tricky to copy. Your best bet is to find someone with a detachable mag stock they want to sell, good luck on that.

The mag well and magazine are easy to get, but pricey, at around $60 for just the magazine. Not sure if you can locate the release button and the associated small pieces (springs, etc) that go with it.

I have a 110 that I barreled to .308. It has the blind mag as well and would love to do the same. Is SSS the only place to get kit? Or is there a list of ways to do this.
