Background info on model 900 S

I have my eyes on a model 900S, however, searching here and googling returns not much. I found info on the 900TR (which I assume is the Target model), but the "S" model has a bull barrel. I know it was the model before the MKII.

So, can someone explain more about the model 900S ?
