The american classic with the really nice straight grained walnut is beautiful.The only reason I dont have one is because I build mine form parts.If I was going to buy a new savage today,it would be the classic for sure.It is not old school.75% OF MY FIREARMS ARE ALL WALNUT.I love walnut.
