    Question about headspacing

Okay, new to the Savage line. Have a 1991 110 in .30-06. I want to replace the recoil lug with a thicker lug and have ordered pillars from Stocky's. With the barrel nut setup, will the barrel likely require machining, or can the headspace on these just be set with a "Go-Gauge" and then tightened into position? I already have all applicable wrenches. Thanks so much for the info.

No machining should be required, headspace it and tighten it down
