My guess off the top of my head: can the action safely shoot 12 gauge shells longer than 2 3/4"?
Hi,
I recently acquired a Savage 69rxl (18 inch barrel with extended mag tube) and wondered why my magazine will only accept four 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch shells. I read that this magazine tube accepts up to 6 or 7 rounds. Could you please help? Thank you in advance.

They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
Thanks for your input. Not sure what I did the first time loading but when I loaded the mag the second time, it accepted six 12 gauge 2/34 in rounds. It's my understanding that the 69rxl will accept five 3 inch shell but I haven't confirmed that yet. Thanks again!
Richard
