I looked through all of my books and found no listings for RL12 for the 30-06 in anything close to a 150gr bullet. I did find that RL12 falls right between H4895 and IMR4895 on the burn rate chart.

was told it was in I think Lees 2nd edition of modern reloading and Hornady's 8th edition, but I have neither of them. I know its like 50gr max for the garand and I think 53.6gr max for bolt gun. Ive read this somewhere.

    Re: 30-06 and rl-12

Hi I am new to the forum. I've been reading it for three days forgot the last page I read. a lot of great info thanks. I saw this resent post on reloading for 30-06 I have put a 110 away at my local gun shop it ran 250. with a clear bushnell scope S/N F271099 if some one knows when it was manufactored that would be nice info. Barrel looks good strong riflings a couple light scratches but action is nice nothing like my Krag but they are an exception in that area. Did I pay to much would like your opinion.

Now back to the subject what is a good load for under a100yards I live in the Ga mountains and thats about the longest shot I'll get, for white tail or bear or wild hoggs. I have been using a 3040 krag for years but I got the 110 30-06 for my trip out to Wyoming to hunt Elk.

Any sugestions would be helpfull I have never reloaded for a 30-06 before thanks.

If I posted this in the wrong place please let me know. Mike
