I too recently came into a Stevens Model 76 tube feed autoloader. I am seeking any information I can find for it! Thanks!

I just got an old Stevens model 76 semi auto 22 rifle... from 1930's-40's era.
I know they made about a gazillion of them.. but I would like to know if there is a market for this rifle, or should I trade it for a goat... ::)

The Stevens 76 is the same gun as the Savage 6, Stevens 87 and Springfield 187's, no great collector value in them, just plinkers, should sell for around $150.
Savage- "never say never".
Thanks! After much cleaning and oiling an operational check reveals that rounds will not feed up from under the bolt when the bolt is all the way to the rear.
Is this a common problem, and a exploded view of the mechanism would be nice. It acts as if a spring is broken even though I cannot see any obvious breaks. ???
Thanks again!
Numrichs should have an exploded view for any of the models I mentioned above, they should all be basically the same.

No problems! Yesterday I got it all back together, loaded up the mag tube and went out to the woods.
That old rifle cycled all 14 LR rounds smooth as silk and problem free. Feels like love come home! Great old rifle!
