Nobody has tried Nosler .338LM brass in the 110BA?
Have any of you had any problems using Nosler's .338 LM brass in your 110BA? A friend of mine just started loading for his using Nosler brass and is having problems with very difficult extraction even with starting loads using 300 grain SMKs and Sierra load data. I don't know many details other than he's tried several powders and the problem also isn't as bad with 250 grain bullets. I've seen many posts where 110BA owners are having problems with Hornady brass and I suggested he should try some factory loaded Lapua ammo.

Since my first post the rifle has been re-headspaced on a new Lapua case and shot with Lapua factory 300 grain ammo and is functioning fine. I'll update the thread when I find out more info on how the Lapua reloads extract. Anybody know what powder Lapua uses in the 300 grain loading?
Most all factory ammo these days uses proprietary powders that are unavailable to the public.
