After several unsuccessful hunts waiting for this hog I saw some two weeks ago to reappear in the field near the pumpkin patch farm, it finally showed up tonight just before 7 pm.

It was within minutes of arriving that I saw the hog in virtually the very same spot as the first time. I was able to quickly get into a prone position with the Savage 22-250 at the top of a hill overlooking the field and ranged the distance at 235. I got settled, put the crosshairs right at the top of its back and let the 45 grain hollow point fly to the target. I heard the smack. No movement at all. Yes! :D

At last, I finally made the 200 yard club! That makes a two finally night!

Here are the pictures. I did weigh the hog at 10lbs 6oz, but the light was too low by the time I got it back to the truck to take a photo. Next time I’ll bring the scale with me.
