This rifle has been in my family for years and as far as my father and uncle can say, it didn't even shoot when they were kids. So it pretty much sat in a gun cabinet for years. Today though i decided to take it apart and see whats going on. I found the firing pin was in two pieces, easy fix, but the action looked like it was missing something.

First off here is the Rifle.

Anyone that can give me the name of this small metal piece that i'm missing would be very helpful.

Also if anyone knows if this rifle is a 29A or 29B that'd be great. I think this picture may be showing the difference between the two, but doesn't label them.
