    Rqst for feedback on Speer 6.5mm Hot-Cor 140g bullets

    I fully understand that my mileage may vary, but I was wondering if anyone had any real-world experience loading and shooting the Speer Hot-Cor, 264 Caliber, 6.5mm (264 Diameter) 140 Grain Spitzer bullet.

    SD= .289
    BC= .498

    I am looking at these primarily for future hunting purposes.

    I would be interested in your feedback on their short and long range performance in terms of both hunting effectiveness as well as accuracy.

    Currently I don't even own a rifle in 6.5, but I can get these bullets at a good price and was wondering if it was worth investing in some to keep in my personal inventory so that if(when) I build a 6.5, I'll have some bullets on hand.

    I believe they are being discontinued by Speer as they are no longer listed on their website (only the 120 grains).

    Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    I shoot them in six different barrels. A Savage 6.5Br pistol, a Savage 6.5Br rifle, a Savage 6.5X47 lapua, a 6.5 grendel AR, a 6.5 grendel Encore, and a 6.5Br encore. They shoot well in all barrels. They are not Nosler Cust Comp or Sierra 107 quality but are great for ringing plates out there. Farthest out I have shot them is 600 yards with the 6.5 grendel AR. Groups were about 1 1/2" larger than the Nosler custom comp but a lot cheaper. Good bullets. I just picked up another 800 from midway. at 15$ a hundred, makes no sense to not have a bunch on hand

    Check this out! It's a gold mine for hunters using .264 diameter bullets. I was going to switch bullets in my .260 Remington (to the Nosler 125 gr. Partition) until I saw how the Barnes 120 gr. TTSX I've been using performs.
