Can I change the firing pin protrusion with out disassembling the firing pin assembly?
THANKS

Bob, If you mean breaking down the bolt then no but if you mean breaking down the pin, spring, washers, and nut then yes if you can compress the spring. I have done it but it is a chore without the correct tools to compress the spring.

Gary thanks for the info.

Disassemble the bolt and remove the firing pin assembly. Place the assembly upside down on a hard surface and slide a pair of wire strippers between the spring and press down. When you press far enough the silver retainer will fall far enough that the front adjuster will turn to adjust your protrusion. Make small adjustments and check it until you get it set at the correct protrusion

Gee now i feel stupid. I got wire strippers all over the place and i never thought about them. I got permanent indents and pinch marks on my fingers.Originally Posted by jglover_81
