Westpoint Savage 25
Guys, I found a Westpoint model 25 falling block 22 in my local gunshop. It was in very good condition and said Savage arms on the barrel. The best I can find is that this was made in the 70's to be a replica of the older Stevens Favorites. It had nice case hardening and was a nice gun. The guy was wanting $160 for it. I was wondering if this was a decent price, and if anyone had any information on these particular models. I am more concerned about their accuracy, etc. Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Westpoint Savage 25
Back in the day most gun makers also built guns for retail outlets with their name or store brand on them (Western Auto, Sears, Westpoint, etc.). These were usually plain-jane utility models and have little to no collectable value, and as such should be priced significantly less than (in this case) a comparable Stevens Favorite. No clue what used Favorites are selling for these days, so you might want to look around on GunBroker for reference.
